Do you know that exotic fruits are also highly beneficial for our health?

When we think about the fruits we mostly think about apples, bananas, mangoes, guavas, oranges, pineapples etc. There are also few exotic fruits present and majority of us do not know. These fruits are grown in remote places and their reach for many people has been limited. It must be taken into account that these exotic fruits are also good for our health just like other normal fruits. Few examples of exotic fruits are sweet tamarind, phalse, buddha hands, ambrella  etc.

These exotic fruits when consumed could provide us many health benefits.

Sweet tamarind or jungali jalebi:

This is one exotic fruit not many would be aware of and it resembles Indian dessert jalebi. Hence the name jungali jalebi is given to this fruit. This fruit is tart and sweet in taste. It is said that the presence of vitamin E in this sweet tamarind helps in delaying the ageing of our skin. The presence of vitamins like B1, B2 B3 etc are superb and cholesterol levels are reduced in us. This fruit has got calcium, iron and phosphorus and bones are kept strong and healthy. Intake of sweet tamarind could lower the blood sugar levels in us.

Phalse:

These fruits are compared to mini jamuns that are also purplish or blackish in colour. The seeds present in phalse or phal-sey are edible unlike the seeds in jamuns. Intake of phalse fruit could provide solution to urinary tract issues. The juice from phalse could also be used to treat stomach pain, nausea, vomiting etc. The phalse juice could be beneficial in treating chest ailments etc also.

Buddha hands:

These fruits resemble hands and are found in places habituated by Buddha followers. Hence these fruits are called as ‘Buddha Hands’. These fruits are bright yellow in colour and are aromatic in nature. These fruits when consumed could help us in providing relief from menstrual pains and other gastrointestinal pains. This fruit helps in smooth digestion and excretion. Healing of wounds is possible by intake of Buddha hands.

Indian hog plum or ambrella:

Similar to mango in the appearance, ambrella or Indian hog plum is another exotic fruit having many health benefits. This fruit is little acidic in taste. The presence of vitamin C in this fruit does tremendously in production of collagen.  As a result the skin, tendons, ligaments etc are kept healthy. Immunity in us gets boosted by the intake of ambrella. Issues like diabetes and bowel movements etc are cured by consuming this amazing exotic fruit.
