NEET to take place on 5th of May

The students and parents could feel happy now. The news that has come out is NTA or National Testing Agency has added 4 more additional cities belonging to the state of Tamil Nadu now. These cities would also be holding the important NEET 2019 examination for the aspiring students. It must not be forgotten that there was an outrage over the allotment of examination centres for NEET 2018 outside Tamil Nadu.
The cities such as Cuddalore, Tanjavore, Karur and Nagercoil are now added to the list for the sake of many students. In 2018, NEET examination was held in 10 cities in TN is well known. This increase in the examination centres now for NEET 2019 is spoken in high esteem by many. In the 2018 over 1.14 lakh students belonging to the state of TN appeared for NEET examinations. Central Board of Secondary Examinations or CBSE had allocated exam centres in many faraway places such as Kerala, Rajasthan and Haryana as more number of students took the NEET examination. This created huge difficulties for students and their parents. Now to avoid such issues, NTA has increased the number of cities in Tamil Nadu. NTA has also advised the students to select an examination centre for NEET 2019 in their residential state.
From the information bulletin released by NTA it is clear that NTA would not allot any centre in the city where the number of candidates opting for the city is less than the minimum. The candidates would be allotted examination centre in another city. On Thursday, 1st November 2018, the online submission of application for NEET 2019 started and the students aspiring for the medical seats could apply to the test until 30th of November. On 5th May 2019, common medical entrance would take place for the students. The aspiring and eligible candidates could use the official website of NTA to apply and the website is www.nta.ac.in. For those candidates belonging to BC category and other categories, the examination fee is Rs 1400 and for those candidates belonging to SC /ST category or transgender community the examination fee is Rs 750. The NEET entrance test would take place in the afternoon between 2pm to 5 pm. It must be taken into account that just two hours before the commencement of the entrance test, the examination centres would be opened and no candidates would be allowed to enter the examination centre after 1:30pm. This was also confirmed by NTA.
One important point is the question papers would be available in as many as 10 Indian languages like Tamil, Hindi, Gujarati, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali, Urdu and English. Those candidates who opt for English language would get the question paper in English only. Candidates who opt for the question papers in regional languages would get the question papers in English as well as in the selected regional language. The NTA also stated that in case of any ambiguity in translation of any of the questions then English version would be considered as final. It is shocking to mention that in the previous NEET the Tamil question paper had errors in 49 questions.
It must be noted that there would be a total of 180 questions in the examination from subjects like physics, chemistry and biology and for every correct answer 4 marks would be given and for every wrong answer one mark would be deducted.
