Exclusive Aavin sweet produces for this Deepavali

For Diwali sales this year, Aavin that falls under the Tamil Nadu Cooperative Milk Producers Federation has targeted sales of the range Rs 10-15 crore.

Using their very own Aavin produces which are milk, ghee, butter and khoa, Aavin is set to make about 80 tonnes of sweets which will be sold in Chennai and across all the district headquarters in Tamil Nadu.

During Deepavali, generally, Aavin has got the practice of manufacturing sweet delicacies with their own produces. Loyal Aavin customers love these sweets. There are many orders usually received from the cooperative societies and corporates, says C. Kamaraj, the Managing Director of Aavin.

As a pack of 250 grams, listed below are the sweets Aavin usually sells

  • Milk cake – Rs 160 per pack
  • Cashew cake – Rs 230 per pack
  • Special nut halwa – Rs 180 per pack
  • Ghee badhusha – Rs 160 per pack
  • Badam halwa – Rs 230 per pack

There are half kilo packs of assorted sweets sold for Rs 370 each. These shall be available in 627 outlets present in Chennai and suburbs.

In addition to Aavin parlors and all the Aavin franchise stores, these products will be sold in 50 places that usually sees heavy crowd.

No price hike

Starting from 29th October, there will be makeshift stalls in select localities.

Furthermore, usual sweet produces of Aavin including Mysurepa, gulab jamun, badam mix powder, khoa, etc. shall also be sold in huge amounts. Coming on to the prices, Mr. Kamaraj says there will be no hike in price in spite of increase in rates of nuts and spices and cooking gas, as they had recently fixed the rates just a few months ago.
