Government schools to offer admission on Vijayadasami

All government schools have been ordered to organise special camps to offer admission to the new students on the traditional day of Vijayadasami festival.
There has been an alarming reduction in the number of children seeking admission in the government or government-aided schools in Tamil Nadu.
The state government Department of Education has warned that unless there is an increase in the number of students in admission, there are possibilities of the financial assistance given by the central government being cut off.
So, all the district officials have been suitably informed to take efforts to increase the number of admissions in all government and government-aided schools.
The director of the primary education, Karuppasamy, has sent a circular to all the district officials mentioning activity must be initiated that in order to boost the number of admissions, the official/staff/teachers need to visit the neighbouring/surrounding areas of the school, trace the students not attending schools, and provide them admissions in the schools.
On the traditional school admission Daye on the festival of Vijayadasami, on 19th October, special camps must be organised and admissions must be provided to a good number of students.
