The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that there are prospects of heavy rains in a few places in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry till 26th August (Sunday) due to the phenomenon of thermal convection. The details:
Due to the impact of the southwest monsoon rainy season, it had rained heavily in the districts of Nilgiri, Coimbatore, Theni, Dindigul, Tirunelveli, and Kanyakumari lying adjacent to Western Ghat mountain range
In this situation, presently, due to the phenomenon of thermal convection, there are prospects of heavy rains in a few places in Tamil Nadu and Puducherryuntil 26th August.
The Chennai Metro City will remain cloudy for the next 24 hours. There are prospects of rain with thunder in the Chennai Metro City and its suburban areas in the evening or the night sessions.
