This cultural festival of Chettinad Vidyashram School in Chennai is superb

Chettinad Vidyashram is a popular school in the city of Chennai. This school was established in the year 1986 and since then this school has been producing many brilliant students who have been highly successful in their lives.

The news is 2 day biennial cultural festival of the Chettinad Vidyashram School finished on Saturday, 18th August 2018 and this festival caught the attention of many. This cultural festival saw as many as 69 schools taking part in 35 events. For their tremendous organisational skills as well as for participation, Principal Amudha Lakshmi appreciated the students.

In the year 2017 as many as 49 schools took part in the festival is known. There were 40 online registrations this year and 20 on the spot. The principal of Chettinad Vidyashram was happy that this cultural festival ‘Maithri’ has become popular and is spreading its wings. The principal later spoke about how this event brings the backbenchers to the fore and increases the self confidence of the students.

The cultural event also saw some popular film artistes like actor Vikram Prabhu, actor Harish Kalyan, producer kalaipuli Thanu etc. The founder and correspondent of this popular school, Mrs Meena Muthiah praised this event and spoke about how this cultural festival shaped the individual.

Not many would have known that actor Vikram Prabhu and his sister did their schooling in this famous Chettinad Vidyashram School. This actor spoke many about his school days. He later added that he was a quiet student but supported his friends taking part in the competitions. He also spoke about his sister who studied in the school and how he used to pick her up from this school.

It is important to mention that Maithri is a two day event with activities like spin-a-yarn, creative writing, debate, cricket, basketball, futsal, jam, trailer making, cartooning, spooning etc.
