A weekend for young writers by British Council

British Council is organizing some exciting and enriching writing workshops for children and young adults starting this weekend. Being the world’s English teaching experts, British Council is organizing these workshops that aim on enhancing writing skills in a fun learning environment.
Advanced writing workshop on Journalism
This specially curated workshop focuses on advanced level writing for journalism. It will help learners to improve their essential skills of feature writing and develop articles that will hook the attention of readers.
Date: 21st July
Time: 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.
Venue: British Council, 737, Anna Salai, Chennai, Tamil Nadu 600002
Age group: 18 years and above who have a basic understanding of writing for the media
Fee:
INR 1500 for library members.
INR 3200 for non-members.
Non-members will also get FREE Individual annual membership of the library to continue reading for the year.
Creative writing workshop based on the Harry Potter books
Who doesn’t like a bit of magic, especially if it comes straight from Hogwarts! This two-day workshop are specially designed for children help tap into their creative skills using Harry Potter novels as the theme. Depending on their age, children will be able to create characters or write a story with language support at the workshop. This workshop will encourage them to use their own ideas, knowledge and experience to create these characters or stories.
Date: 21st& 28th July
Timings: 9:30 am onwards
