Online counselling for engineering courses only after 18th July

The Tamil Nadu state government minister for Higher Education, K. P. Anbazhagan, informed that the online counselling for the engineering courses will be conducted only after 18th July.
He explained that as regards the counselling for the engineering courses, it was planned to commence the same after 10th July when the counselling for medical courses have been completed. However, as per the Supreme Court order, the admissions for the engineering courses must be completed before 31st July and the classes must be commenced on 1st August.
Presently, due to the medical counselling in progress, we have requested for extension of time for admission of students to the engineering courses. The enquiry for this appeal will be taken up on 13th July.
Meanwhile, it has been announced that the counselling for medical courses for the candidates under the administration quota in the private medical colleges have been scheduled to be conducted on 16th, 17th, and 18th July. So, the online counselling for the engineering courses can be commenced only after 18th July.
