The countdown starts for NEET applications

The count-down has started for this academic year applications for applying to write NEET (National Entrance-cum-Eligibility Test), a pass in which is mandatory to join the medical courses of MBBS and BDS.

As per the countdown, only 85 days are left for the registration to apply for NEET.

NEET and JEE will henceforth be conducted twice a year. The central government has announced that they will be computerized tests.

However, the political parties in Tamil Nadu have objected to this. At the same time, the students also need to prepare for NEET ignoring the political parties and their approach.

As per the latest announcement, the 1st Phase of the NEET is scheduled to be conducted from 3rd February to 17th February.

The students are given the option to select any one of their preferred dates as above and write the test. The registration for applying to write NEET commences on 1st October and concludes on 31st October. Thus, there are only 85 days left.

This has necessitated that the students must prepare for NEET right away. Accordingly, the schools have to complete the syllabus for the public examinations at this time.

The parents observe that only if the general syllabus is completely taught, the students can then undertake some training preparing for writing NEET. Thus, there is a question/expectation whether the duration of class-hours in the school will be extended for this purpose.
