Lord Kallazhagar to enter Vaigai river on 30th April

On the celebrated occasion of the Chithirai Festival, the deity of Lord Kallazhagar will enter the river Vaigai from 5.45 AM to 6.15 AM on 30th April.
Azhagar Temple Kallazhagar festival commences on 26th April. The deity adored with Kandangi silk dress and carrying the stick, bow, and the arrows and starts for Madurai from the Kodappa Naicker Hall.
The reception for the deity of Lord Kallazhagar by the devotees is scheduled on 29th April at ‘Moondru Maavadi’. Between 5.45 AM and 6.15 AM, the deity of Lord Kallazhagar enters the Vaigai River on 30th April.
On 1st May, the events of offering Moksha to Manduga Maharishi in Thenur Hall and Dasvatharam in Ramanayar Hall are performed.
On the early morning of 2nd May, the deity of Lord Kallazhagar will appear in ‘Mohana Avatharam’. The event of ‘flower palanquin’(poo pallakku) will be performed in the night.
On the night of 3rd May, the deity visits Tirupathi and then reaches Azhagar temple by early morning on 4th May.
