Parks present in Chennai does not have enough security now

Chennai is a metropolitan city with huge population. Many people lead stressful lives are known. People visit parks to have some relaxation and to have some relief from their stressful lives. It is worthy to mention that there are as many as 525 parks in Chennai city that are maintained by the civic body.
It is now said that the parks in Chennai city are not safe and they dont have enough security. It must not be forgotten that recently the popular Anna Nagar Tower Park grabbed many eyeballs in an ugly incident.
According to an official belonging to Chennai corporation these types of incidents that happened in the above mentioned place happens only on the roads but it took place inside the park now. This is shocking and sad.
The truth that has come out now is many parks in the Chennai city do not have security personnel and even when these personnel are present they just open the park gate and go. Only in the evenings these security personnel come back again to close the gates of the parks.
Mr. Ramakrishnan vice-president of Federa expressed his opinion and said security personnel are present only at the gates of the parks but not inside. For the sake of avoiding crimes inside the parks the authorities concerned must appoint security personnel inside the parks also.
According to Mr Augustine David who is president of Federation of Adambakkam Welfare Associations, civic body must close the gates of these parks before 7:30 pm in the evening. This would prevent miscreants creating issues.
It is shocking to note that the civic body officials are not aware of the incident that took place recently in one of their parks. It is important to mention that recently in the Anna Nagar Tower Park a man stabbed his girlfriend and then he stabbed himself and both are now undergoing treatment.
