Vandalur Zoo open on 16th January

During the occasion of the Pongal festive serial holidays, the Vandalur zoo will remain open on 16th January.
The administration of the Vandalur Zoo has stated that as a regular practice, the zoo is closed on every Tuesday to undertake all the maintenance works. However, on the occasion of the Pongal festive holidays, as a large number of visitors are expected on Tuesday, 16th January, the ‘Kanum Pongal day, the zoo will be kept open even though it is a Tuesday.
On 16th January, the zoo will be opened an hour earlier at 8.00 AM than the normal opening time. Already, there are 20 counters to issue tickets. As a larger number of visitors are expected on 16th January, an additional 10 counters will be opened on that day.
