Soon get birth certificates from all local bodies

Here is something exciting to all the rural public and parents who await to get their children’s birth certificate. From 14th November, it will be very easy to download birth certificate from anywhere from any local body server.
With the help off directorate of public health, the Commissionerate of Municipal Administration shall make available a dedicated online portal as per the central civil registration system, says a confidential official source. As of now, the metro cities only enjoy the facility. Soon, the municipal and village panchayats shall start giving out birth and death certificates online, the official said.
Necessary training for staff members to issue birth and death certificates in local bodies are now being given. Once everything goes as per plan, the new scheme shall get launched this week, hopefully by 14th November, say reliable sources.
With this service getting launched, it will be possible for downloading certificates online. This will eliminate the need for visiting the local body offices.
The central government has directed that all the states need to implement this civil registration system. On launching the service, the public will be able to download certificate at https://tnurbanepay.tn.gov.in, said a sanitary inspector from the Chennai Corporation.
