Nearly 9 lakh write VAO exam

Around 9 lakh candidates out of over 9.72 lakh applicants appeared for the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) examination conducted for the recruitment of village administrative officers on Sunday.
The candidates wrote the competitive examination in
3483 centres established at different parts of the state.
Eligible candidates with a minimum qualification of a pass in SSLC public examination had applied online for the exam conducted after a six-year gap.
Their supporting documents will be verified at the next stage of selection. A total number of 1,870 VAO vacancies are to be filled.
