Petrol price reduced by Rs 3.77 per litre, diesel by Rs 2.91

Petrol price was on Friday reduced by Rs 3.77 per litre and diesel price cut by Rs 2.91 per litre. Revised rates will take effect from midnight.
The reduction announced by oil companies is excluding state levies. Rates will differ from state to state due to differential local sales tax or VAT rates.
After the price revision, a litre of petrol in Chennai will now cost Rs 69.28 per litre and diesel will cost Rs 58.82 per litre.
