Applications for writing SET exam can be made between 12th Feb & 12th Mar

Applications may be sent for writing the SET exam to qualify for the job as Professor between 12th February and 12th March.
For seeking appointments as Professors, the candidates must be post-graduates and must have passed the NET (National Eligibility Test) examination conducted by the UGC (University Grants Commission) or must have passed the SET (State Level Eligibility Set).
SET is conducted by any University within a particular State. In Tamil Nadu, SET was conducted after a long gap of 2 years in the year 2016 by Mother Theresa Women’s University.
The SET exam for 2017 will also be conducted by Mother Theresa University.
The date for SET examination
Set is scheduled to be conducted on 23rd April. Applications for writing this SET examination can be made online from 12th February to 12th March.
