UC News, a content and news distribution platform that is part of Alibaba Mobile Business Group said in a report that Reliance Jio was one the hottest keywords in India in 2016, sharing space with Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra among the leading content trends as per a report analyzing key content preferences of Indian consumers on mobile phones.
The report revealed that Reliance Jio got 116 million page views in both Hindi and English content, owing to the launch of multiple free calls and data services, at a time when incumbent carriers struggle to provide faster and deeper connectivity.
