Beauty parlors are increasing in numbers. When we think about the legitimacy in them, there is a big fat question mark. There are untrained unprofessional individuals who try their hand in beauty parlors. This apparently results in various troubles. In fact, in a few unlawful centres, there are training given too.
Women are increasingly beauty conscious in the recent years. They used to visit the parlor only for trimming their brows, but nowadays, bleaching, facial or hair cut have become too common. Considering women, becoming a beautician involves very less investment and hence a lot of people show interest in it. They part their home and turn a portion of it into beauty parlor. Unprofessional beauticians are largely increasing in number. Hence, parlors are emerging in every corner of all streets just like tea kiosks. Here, they do not customize the procedures like bleaching or facial depending on the type of skin customers have. Due to unskillful and improper beauty procedures done on customers, itching or other skin diseases, swelling of skin, etc result out of it. There are side effects caused too. Because of performing procedures without enough knowledge about medical backgrounds of customers, they undergo a lot of troubles. Apart from these, there are worst happenings within the parlor, harming the culture of our society.
Beautician course is for 6 months, but most of the trainees take up the test for one week or a few day and start practicing on their own. Those who work in a parlor as assistants also wish to stand on their own and start a parlor.
Due to lack of stringent rules and regulations in setting up a beauty parlor, there are many mishaps in the sector. These phony parlors also inspire bad names to legitimate ones too. Immediate action need to be taken in this regard and the rules need to be made stringent.
