Is Vandalaur zoo likely to reopen before Pongal holidays?

With the ensuing extended Pongal Holiday season, the question has arisen whether Vandalur Arignar Anna Park will be reopened before that.
With the recent cyclone Varda, devastating the Vandalur zoo area with compound falls collapsing and falling in several places. Also, a large number of trees got uprooted during the cyclone. Because of the. Arignar Anna Vandalur Zoo was closed indefinitely.
However, without being aware of this closure, many tourists from other places visit the park and return with disappointment.
Meanwhile, a team from the central government visited the zoo area to inspect the damages. The authorities have ordered that the repair work must be carried out and expedited in order to reopen the zoo as quickly as possible for the benefit of the visitors.
Currently, the uprooted trees are being removed and repair works are in progress. However, the compound walls repair is yet to be taken up.
The activities are now in full swing in order to complete all the repair work and facilitate the reopening of the zoo before the Pongal festival holidays.
