Rains expected today and tomorrow

Northeast monsoon is now prevailing in Tamil Nadu. At this juncture a low pressure has developed in Bay of Bengal. That is stationed there without any progress.
S Balachandran, director, Area Cyclone Warning Centre, Regional Meteorological Centre, Chennai said: A weather system near Sri Lanka may bring one or two spells of rain in the southern districts today and tomorrow. In Tamil Nadu northern districts, there will be light rains in the coastal areas. There is a deficit of 62 percent of rains during this northeast monsoon.
