Velayudham gets clean U certificate

Vijay’s most awaited Velayudham, produced by Aascar Ravichandran,and the film with the biggest budget ever for this actor, has been cleared with a clean ‘U’ certification by the regional censor board.
The movie has tow hot girls, Hansika and Genelia sharing screen space with Vijay and is directed by Jayam Raja. A high action masala flick, it has brother sister bonding as the core theme with Saranya Mohan essaying the role of Vijay’s sister. Santhanam provides the comedy. Speaking to this newspaper, Ravichandran said, “The censor members were very appreciative of the film. Except for a few small cuts, they passed the film with a clean U certification”. Apparently, they praised the entire team for coming out with a mass entertainer that would go well with all types of audiences.
Velayudham was supposed to go for censor approvel on October 17. But due to local body elections, the producer opted for an earlier censoring and hence it was watched on Thursday.
The songs by Vijay Antony are already a big hit. The recent theater trailer of Velayudham garnered a lot of attention for its slick cut by editor VT Vijayan.
