YouTube Go with enhanced features than YouTube

On Tuesday, Google has launched the new YouTube app called YouTube Go, as one of the steps taken towards Google for India announcement. The users will have to sign up when they launch the mobile app. The YouTube blog states that this is for the first time they have launched an offline version of the app and this will help in reducing the data cost.
There are interesting features included in the app. Preview, size of video before playing, options to save and share videos with others even without internet connectivity, etc are some of the features. In the preview, one will be able to get access to different points of the video as thumbnails. With this, the user can have an idea off what is there in the video. This gives a transparency in data usage while saving or playing the video.
Sharing should perhaps be the most interesting of all YouTube features. Sharing video will be possible with other YouTube videos who have YouTube Go installed in their phone too.
There is fine tuning done for the video recommendation as well. The specific user location will be taken into account while suggesting videos, and not just the country.
