Amma canteen is on an expansion spree

There are over 300 Amma canteens functioning under Chennai Corporation as of now. Here, people get really cheap breakfast, lunch and dinner which has naturally absorbed more customers.
Amma canteens are functional in the hospitals as well. This is of great help for patients and attenders at these hospitals. As there is immense response for Amma canteens all over, 22 more of these are to be launched too.
Works are on the go to choose locations and construct canteens. Very soon, these works will get over and new branches of Amma canteens will be seen.
Lakhs of idlis get sold here every day. Chapathis are equally sold here too. They offer different varieties of rice for lunch. It is also decided that the total volume of production done at these canteens are to be recorded.
As a move to aid recording the total volume of food sold and their price, computer bills are being given. An exclusive software is designed for the same and bills are given to each and every customer. The menu purchased along with its price is mentioned in the bill.
Over 45 such canteens are instructed to use the same old computers and 255 new computers will come to use. On the whole, computer bills are being given to all customers here.
In his note about this, Dr Senthilnathan the public health officer said that billing machines are being used to track the total income in each and every canteen along with the total volume of sales. With this, it is also possible to understand the functioning of over 300 hotels. With the lastly made bill, the closing time of canteen can also be known. We can also know if the canteen is being closed even before the food gets completely sold. Further, total number of idli and chapathi sold here can also be known. Severe action will be taken against ill-doing employees.
