Trail run of metro rail between Alandur-Airport sector took place yesterday

Chennai Metro Rail which is now an important identity of Chennai City has been operating the metro rail services between Koyambedu and Alandur with the patronage of the people. At this juncture, the works connected with the Alandur –Airport sector is completed in all the aspects. Now very soon the metro trains will operated.
Yesterday a set of Chennai Metro Rail trains was operated on the stretch between Little Mount and Chennai Airport on slow mode. The trains were also operated in the 2 kms underground stretch between Alandur cement Road and Meenambakkam Police Station.
An official of CMRL has mentioned, “The track between Alandur and Airport is ready for operations. Now trains can be operated. The trial run of metro rail was satisfactory. Very soon the trains will be operated in this sector.”
