Free book bank service

 A free college book distribution programme was arranged at Jaigopal Garodia Charitable Book Bank recently and distributed textbooks to students of several colleges in the subjects of computer science, engineering, arts, science and commerce. 

Dr D Viswanathan, former vice chancellor of Anna University was the chief guest who distributed the books. 

Jaigopal Garodia Vivekananda Vidyalaya Trust book bank was established in 2000, and nearly 50,000 students from various colleges have benefited from it. So far, the trust has spent Rs 80 lakh towards the purchase of books. Soon the book bank facility has been extended to students in Bangalore.

Around 10,000 students will benefit from the scheme this year. Students must return the books after examinations.
