Kalanithi seeks more time to appear before police

The Chennai police have summoned Sun TV Network chairman and managing director Kalanithi Maran for questioning in connection with the complaints of cheating filed by film distributors against Sun Pictures.
Maran, who was to appear before the KK Nagar police on Wednesday, has sought time till July 26 due to his personal commitments in outstation.
In a letter delivered to the investigating officers through his counsels Batcha and Ravikumar on Wednesday, Maran said that he was busy with some personal work outside the city and hence would not be able to appear before the police till July 26.
