80th Bday: CM wishes Chitralaya Gopu

Chithralaya Gopu, who gave Tamil cinema evergreen comedies such as Kadhalikka Neramillai, Galatta Kalyanam and Utharavindri Ullae Va, celebrated his 80th birthday here on June 30.
A sathabhishekam was held to mark the occasion. The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, J Jayalalithaa, felicitated the writer-director in a letter, wishing him “many more happy and healthy years.”
Members of the film fraternity such as actors Sivakumar, Kamal Haasan with Gowthami, Saroja Devi, political analyst Cho, lyricist Vaali, director CV Rajendran, Santhana Barathi, Gemini Ganesan’s daughter Kamala Ganesan and writer Indira Soundarajan were participated and wished the veteran play writer.
