Sales of Kisan Vikas Patra and National Savings Certificate stopped in post offices

It has been announced that the sales of Kisan Vikas Patra and National Savings Certificate will be stopped in post offices.
Kisan Vikas Patra and National Savings Certificate are being sold in post offices. Recently it was decided that the currently existing system of physical pre-printed certificates for KVP and NSC shall stand discontinued w.e.f April 1, 2016 and shall be replaced by National Savings Certificate/ Kisan Vikas Patra certificate on electronic - mode (e-mode)
