Rameshram Mishra is new TN Home Secretary

The government on Friday posted Rameshram Mishra as Home, Prohibition and Excise Secretary in place of Sheela Rani Chunkath. He will also function as Chairman of the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board.
Ms Chunkath, who was appointed as the Home Secretary immediately after Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa assumed office last month, was shifted to a relatively low key department and posted as Chairperson and Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Handicrafts Development Corporation.
She replaces Dr R Vijayakumar, who was already transferred.
