Tamil actor-magician Alex passes away in Chennai

Well known Tamil actor Alex, who was also a popular magician, died at the Apollo Hospital here today following a brief illness.
According to his family sources, the actor had been suffering from an intestinal disorder and was admitted to the hospital for treatment yesterday.
He was 52. He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
He had acted in 100 films and had 25 more on hand. He made his screen debut in "Valli", which was produced by Tamil superstar Rajnikanth in 1997.
Alex had etched his name in the Guinness Book of World Record as well as the Limca Book of Records for performing magic non-stop for 24 hours.
