Power generating shoes to help generate renewable energy

SolePower, a new tech company, has come up with a method that can convert energy created by walking into electricity. The company has invented insoles for shoes that generate power by taking into account the force of a footfall. This power can be used to charge mobile phones. According to SolePower, this method can create renewable power. They hope to provide energy generating shoes to developing nations that have unreliable electricity.
With each step taken, the insoles activate a micro generator. This energy is transferred to a battery pack which is placed at the side of the shoe. There is a direct proportion between the amount of energy generated and the number of steps taken. For example, if a person takes 2000 steps, the micro generator will be activated 2,000 times. On an average, an hour`s walk will enable half an hour of talk time on a mobile phone.
