Tamil Nadu Governments Emergency toll-free numbers for WOMEN

Tamil Nadu Government has provided the facility of toll-free emergency numbers to be used during emergencies. There is a list of numbers which are toll-free to be used by women.
When abducted and kept as captive in a hidden place, they can call 1091.
If this call is not picked up, contact 044-23452365.
If the emergency is for girls of younger age, contact 1098.
Women left destitute by their own children and without any other support can contact 1253.
If women are abused by their husbands or sexually tortured in the workplace or college, contact 044-28551155 OR 044-25264568 and make a complaint and get justice.
Girls who are mentally affected or without any support needing protection/shelter can contact 044-26530504 OR 044-26530599. These are the telephone numbers of Women`s help social centre in Mogappair which function under central government assistance.
Women who had been cheated after agreeing to be surrogate mothers can contact 044-26184392, OR 044-9171313424. These are the telephone numbers of Surrogate Mothers’ Rights Forum which can give all information regarding surrogate motherhood, the rights and regulations.
If women face any emergency during train travel, they can call & complain at Railway Police telephone numbers: 044-25353999 OR 90031 61710 OR 9962500500.
For complaints regarding ragging in Chennai colleges, send sms to 95000 99100. The Police Department will take immediate action.
If excessive number of kids are taken in an auto, contact numbers 044-24749002 OR 044-26744445 for complaint.
