Posted on: 10/Sep/2015 9:56:41 AM
During last week the prices of the flowers were very high in the Koyambedu wholesale market due to less arrival of flowers. The rise of the flowers was also attributed to Onam festival. Now the prices of flowers are coming down gradually.  The reason for this is, lots of flowers are coming from Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Since there is heavy rain in Karnataka, the harvest of flowers are more. Usually 30 trucks of flowers arrive to Koyambedu but now the flowers are brought in 60 lorries. Hence the prices of the flowers have come down drastically.
