Egmore Courts to be restored, move to Moore Market

The process of transferring the Egmore Metropolitan Court to Moore Market has begun in earnest. The first of the courts to be transferred will be the 10th Magistrate Court. All 14 of the courts in the Egmore Metropolitan Court will transferred by Friday, say authorities.
Restoration work has begun at the Egmore courts. The restoration is being done at the cost of Rs. 10 crores and 88 lakhs. Court officials say that the entire process will take around 15 months to complete.
