RAIN DAMAGES BADLY LAID ROADS IN CHENNAI

Posted on: 03/Dec/2010 1:46:08 AM

The recent rains have damaged roads in most part of the city, especially the road which were badly laid, leaving the motorist to almost crawl. Most of the roads should have been laid with concrete as water easily seep into Tar tops and removes sand and the metal from underneath, making big holes. Even the areas well inside the city such as Kilpauk, Anna Nagar, Virugambakkam, Arumbakkam [100 Feet road near Vadapalani, Valasaravakkam , KK Nagar, some part of Alwarpet are not left behind. Some of the road are not worthy for motoring. In some place two wheelers find it very difficult negotiate with water having stagnated up to knee level. Poor Marketing executives with costly leather shoe have plant a leg deep in the water to balance.
