Superfast train test run in the section between Tindivanam & Thozhuppedu!

The laying of the second train track between Chengalpattu & Villupuram covering a distance of 103 km has been under progress since 2007.
The existing meter-gauge is being removed and broad-gauge track is being laid.
As sufficient funds were not allotted, the project has been delayed for the last many years and being completed in sections.
Currently, the laying of the broad-gauge track between the sections of Tindivanam & Thozhuppedu and Madhuranthakam & Karunkuzhi has been completed.
The Railway Security Commissioner Mr. S K Mittal will be conducting the test-run for super-fast trains between 4.00 PM & 6.00 PM.
