Solar power plant at municipality buildings

The Tamil Nadu government has formulated a new plan to implement solar power plants in all government buildings and inspections works were carried out for the same. There are over 3000 such government buildings. Now, the inspection results state that out of all such building structures under Chennai municipality, only 800 can be set up with sola power plants. In the rest of the buildings, there were hindrances like shady places, obstruction because of branches of trees, etc. Hence, the decision is now made to implement the solar plants only at these 800 buildings during the first phase.
As a step, the Royapuram regional office has already implemented this and generating power for their electricity needs. Looking at the successful power generation here, similar plants will be set up in many such structures across the city post-elections. On the whole, a sum of ninety megawatt power can be generated using this.
