An “election tracker” service has been launched by Cell phone operator Sistema Shyam TeleServices Ltd. (SSTL), which operates under the MTS brand name.
Election tracker service a live dashboard that showcases analysis of all conversations on the social media about political parties and leading politicians, giving Internet users a sense of the political discourse in the country. The tracker provides real-time analysis by collating data from across the Web as well as social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube and tracks mentions of leading political parties and politicians. Conceptualized by Social Samosa, a social media portal that tracks the Indian social media industry, the election tracker displays data in the form of bar graphs, graphics and pie charts.
