Arignar Anna Zoological Park in Vandalur has unveiled an exciting opportunity for students in Class 5 and above with its newly introduced Zoo Ambassador programme. The initiative, aimed at fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation for wildlife, will offer participants a unique opportunity to explore various classes of animals through engaging sessions focusing on mammals, birds, reptiles, and butterflies. Additionally, students will gain insights into the functions and activities of the zoo, enhancing their knowledge of wildlife conservation.
The programme, meticulously designed by zoo experts, veterinarians, biologists, and educators, will be conducted in five batches, each accommodating 50 students. Scheduled to align with climatic conditions, the batches will take place on different dates: April 24-27, May 1-3, May 8-10, June 5-7, and June 12-14.
Participants will receive assignment sheets for each topic and a comprehensive programme kit to aid their learning experience. Upon successful completion of the programme, students will be bestowed with the prestigious title of `Zoo Ambassador of Vandalur Zoo,` along with a certificate, badge, and a special passport entitling them to 10 free visits to the zoo.
Emphasizing the pivotal role of Zoo Ambassadors in promoting and conserving zoo animals, the release encourages interested students to register at www.aazp.in/summercamp2024 and become ambassadors for wildlife conservation.
