Jacto-Geo administrators have announced that individuals who have yet to receive their postal votes and Election Duty Certificates (EDCs) should expect them by 5 pm tomorrow, April 16. Chief Electoral Officer Satyapratha Sahu, along with state coordinators K. Venkatesan and K. Thiagarajan, convened at the Chennai headquarters to address discrepancies in postal vote payments.
They explained to reporters that unlike previous elections, postal votes can only be received and processed at respective Facilitation Centers until 5 pm on April 16. Additionally, EDCs must be collected from training centers by the same deadline.
There will be no distribution of EDCs or postal votes on April 18, the day of training. However, the Chief Electoral Officer expressed willingness to organize a special camp for postal voting on the afternoon of April 16.
Furthermore, EDC holders can vote at their nearest polling station if assigned reserve duty. This information was reiterated with the reminder that no EDCs or postal ballots will be available on April 18.
