With scorching summer having already set in the past few days, the temperature has crossed 100 Degrees Fahrenheit in 5 cities in the State of Tamil Nadu yesterday (Wednesday, 27th March).
Details of the notification sent by the the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre in this regard:
"A dry climate might prevail in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikkal from Thursday (today, 28th March) until the 31st of March (Sunday).
There are prospects for mild to medium rain in 1 or 2 places in the Southern Tamil Nadu on the 1st & the 2nd of April (Monday & Tuesday).
Chennai Metro City and its suburbs may remain partly cloudy today and tomorrow (Thursday, 28th March and Friday, 29th March). The maximum temperature might be 95 degrees Fahrenheit.
The maximum temperature recorded yesterday in Degrees Fahrenheit (Wednesday, 27th March): Erode – 103.28, Paramathi, Vellore – 102.2, Salem – 101.84, Madurai – 101.12, Madurai Airport – 100.76, Namakkal – 100.4, Dharmapuri – 100.4, Thirupathur – 100.04, Trichy – 99.86, Thiruthani – 98.60 and Chennai Meenambakkam – 95.18."
