Tamil Nadu government: New welfare scheme for expectant mothers
Chief Minister Jayalalithaa launched a special scheme for pregnant women and their new-borns. Called Amma Magapperu Sanjeevi, the scheme was allotted Rs. 10 Crores annually for the medical components alone.
