Parents love their kids very much and they observe each and every move of their child. Every parent would love to see their kids grow into teen and then into adult.

Sometimes, the kid would not have the required body weight that he or she must have at that age. This is referred as underweight. The kids would be thin and lean. By including high calorie food:
Parents must make sure that their kid consumes high calorie meals every day.  These foods must be included when the kid is underfed or have a hard time in eating. Examples of high calorie foods are potato dishes, smoothies and milkshakes etc.

Child would get bored if they have to eat big meals. Kids might find 3 big meals difficult to eat and the parents could split the meals into smaller portions for the sake of variety.

By stopping kid from drinking water:
By drinking water before eating meals, kids would become full and they might not show interest to eat meals. So, parents must prevent their kids from drinking water before meals. Water must be given to kids only after they complete eating the meals.

By including multivitamins etc:
Underweight kids could be given multivitamins and supplements for weight gain. It is important that the parents must consult the doctor before giving their kids these.

By not creating negative food habits:
Parents must make sure that they do not create negative food habits in their kids. While eating meals, kids must not be allowed to look into the gadgets/ TV screens etc. Parents could have meals with their kids.

By encouraging kids to be physically active:
Parents must encourage their kids to be physically activive. Truth is that the more kids exercise and become tired and hungry the more they eat well.
