The health benefits of consuming these chutneys would be superb

Just even thinking about eating dosas or idlis with delicious chutneys could make us feel excited!!

In the Indian households, no food is complete without chutney. As an important and highly preferred side dish, chutneys are being used to eat plain or stuffed parathas, dosas, idlis etc is well known. Various ingredients that are used to prepare the chutneys are tomatoes, onion, ginger, tamarind, coriander, garlic, mint etc.

These chutneys are both delicious as well as healthy for us.

Tomato chutney:
This is a highly preferred chutney in many houses. It has Vitamin C, B and E plus minerals like potassium etc and are very good for the health. Point to be noted is that the lycopene in tomatoes could protect the cells from getting damaged.

Garlic chutney:
It is true that garlic has got superb medicinal properties and by having garlic chutney we could get tremendous health benefits. Studies have shown that intake of garlic could prevent BP, diabetes, reduce cholesterol, prevent heart diseases etc in us. The antioxidants concentration in garlic chutney is increased by the addition of coconut, peanut, red chillies etc.

Mint-coriander chutney:
Both mint as well as coriander leaves are packed with vitamins, minerals plus antioxidants etc. They also have substantial quantities of dietary fibre and are good for overall health.

Coconut chutney:
Fact is that coconut chutney has got fibres and by consuming this chutney we could be free from issues like constipation etc. This chutney is also consumed by many these days. It is believed that our metabolism would become betted by this chutney intake. Ingredients used to prepare the coconut chutney are mustard seeds, coriander leaves, fresh coconut and dry red chillies etc.

Peanut chutney:
This is also an important chutney with superb health benefits. They are low in calories and rich in plant proteins, minerals, vitamins, antioxidants etc. By adding tomatoes, garlic etc to this peanut chutney, the nutritive qualities of this chutney would improve.

Tamarind chutney:
This chutney has minerals like potassium, iron, calcium, magnesium etc plus many vitamins and is superb for your health. The flavonoids present in this chutney would make us additionally healthy.
