  • In case you suffer from constipation regularly (difficulty experience in passing motion), the topmost 2 food items to be avoided are cheese and milk! So, better take them in lesser quantities!
  • Fibre content is very less in ‘fast-food’ items - so, please check and eat slowly and properly while taking them - you will enhance digestion by this!
  • Food items having fried chicken are all ultra-rich in fat! They are difficult to digest as well! While these items are transported to the digestion liver colon, these will absorb extra water! This leads to the formation of very dry and hard excreta!
  • Though the egg is rich in protein, it has almost no fibre content! As such, these can also cause constipation!
  • Note that cooked meat is rich in fat and protein – however, it has very little fibre!
  • Food items such as biscuits and cupcakes are made with refined sugar are rich only in fat but less fibre and liquid! So, these food items are likely to cause trouble indigestion!
  • Taking large slices of bread may also lead to constipatory issues! As bread is prepared with white flour, it has very little fibre content.
  • Among the food items that we take, brown or red rice and wheat which are rich in fibre can help cure constipation.
  • Green-coloured vegetables, banana-stem, split-gram, chick-peas, beans/flat beans pulses, greens, and fruits such as orange, guava, pomegranate, apple, figs, dates, and mangoes have rich fibre content! So, it is better to include them in our daily diet.
  • Instead of the regular intake of beverages such as coffee, tea or soft drinks, it is advisable to take tender coconut and fruit juices! Avoid sweets and fat-rich food items. Also, avoid fast-food items! Ensure to take 2 bananas the night before going to sleep!
  • ENSURE THAT YOU TAKE 2.5 TO 3 LITRES OF WATER DAILY! It is advisable to take warm water as soon as getting out of the bed in the mornings!
