Women must follow these to avoid weight increase during their periods

Every woman in their teens, 20s, 30s and 40s get periods every month and this shows that their body is normal and healthy. During periods many women feel highly uncomfortable due to many issues like stomach pain, waist pain, headache, foot pain, cramps etc. Weight increase is also one major problem that takes place at the time of their periods. It is said that this weight gain could b due to various factors like food cravings, water retention, PMS plus lack of magnesium in the body etc. Many women struggle with the weight issue during their periods and try various methods to overcome it.  

There are few methods or tips available and these could be followed by the women for their weight loss during periods. These are

Reduce intake of caffeine:

The weight of a women increases during the period as she is worried more. At that time intake of caffeine could increase the weight. So by reducing the consumption of caffeine the weight could be reduced. One important point is excess intake of caffeine could also increase the symptoms that takes place during periods.

Consume more water:

Intake of atleast 3 litres of water is a must for every woman during their periods as water would keep the body hydrated. Toxic substances present in the body would be flushed out by consuming water. Metabolism gets boosted.  By this increase in the weights could be prevented.

Avoid skipping food:

Hormones could be kept balanced by consuming small meals atleast 5 to 6 times daily. Taking snacks twice a day apart from breakfast, lunch and dinner is good. Make sure that food is not skipped during the periods. By doing this weight would remain controlled.

Intake of salt to be reduced:

Intake of salt, high sodium processed foods could result in the water retention in the body. By reducing the salt consumption during the periods weight could be kept in control.

Doing workouts:

This is also one important tip to prevent weight gain in women during periods. Workouts control the weight and prevent excess fats from getting accumulated in the body of a woman. Hence it is essential to do workouts during the periods.
