22 Day long annual Vaikunta Ekadesi festival begins at Srirangam Temple!!

The famous Sri Ranganathaswamy temple at Srirangam is making sensational news now!!
On Tuesday evening, Thirunedunthandakam ritual was conducted and this started the 22 day long annual Vaikunt Ekadesi festival at Srirangam temple. Point is that rajagopuram and other gopurams, corridors etc were illuminated with lights. Throughout the festival days, about 2.5lakh devotees are expected to come to this temple. With Nammalwar motcham, the festival would come to an end on 2nd January 2024. About 2500 police personnel have been deployed by Trichy police to control the crowd here.
Note:
It must be noted that the devotees would not be able to park their vehicles in Chithirai Street and Uthirai Street around the temple. The devotees would be able to park their vehicles on the arrangements provided on the Salai Road and Thimmaayasamundram and Singaperumal Koil areas etc.
On 23rd of December, the prime event of this 22day long annual festival, the opening of Paramapadha Vasal gates would take place at about 4am in the morning. It is important to mention that 23rd December has been announced as a local holiday by the district administration.
