Central Finance Ministry: Rs. 1.49 Crore GST collected in February!

It is an important feature to note that there has been an increase of 12% of GST (Goods and Sales Tax) collected so far in the financial year 2022-23!
In a notification released by the Central Ministry of Finance in this regard, it is mentioned:
"A total GST (Goods and Sales Tax) of Rs. 149577 Crores has been collected in February 2023!
Out of this, the share of the Central Government Goods and Services Tax (CGST) is Rs. 27662 Crores. The share of the State Government Goods and Services Tax (SGST) is Rs. 34915 Crores. The share of the Integrated Goods and Services Tax (IGST) is Rs. 75069 Crores. The share of the CESS (including the taxes imported items/equipment of Rs. 792 Crores) is Rs. 11931 Crores."
As such, this collection of GST during February 2023 is higher by 12% as compared to the previous year!
