Surprising results about the genomic sequencing of samples from Intl passengers at the airport??

At the airport, as many as 6 international passengers have tested Covid positive and their blood samples have been collected for genomic sequencing is known to us.
The latest news is that no BF.7 variant has been reported till now. It was brought to light by the TN health minister Mr. M. Subramanian said that 2 passengers from China had BA.5.2 and one passenger each from Kuwait, Muscat and Bangkok had BA.2. It must be taken into note that XBB.1 was found in another passenger who had tested Covid positive at the airport. Six out of a total of 13 Covid positive passengers had variants that already are prevalent in Tamil Nadu.
In December alone, around 93 samples were analysed and 98% had BA.2 or BA.5 and the rest 2% had the Delta variant. After being in home isolation, all these persons have been recovering well. The contacts of these persons are also tested.
