Good news - Steady decline in fresh COVID cases in Chennai!!

For the 10th consecutive day, the new or fresh Covid-19 cases have reduced in Chennai. On Thursday, TN registered a small increase in the fresh cases. In TN, as many as 2283 were tested Covid-19 positive yesterday and till now the total number of cases stands at 3510809.
It must be noted that the cases went down below 700- mark (682 cases) in Chennai and the total number of Covid-19 infected persons stood at 774426 in the city. Chengalpet district had 367 Coronavirus cases yesterday and Kancheepuram had 102 cases.
After getting treatment for Covid-19 infection, 2707 patients were discharged and the overall recoveries touched almost 35 lakhs. There were 6351 active cases in Chennai and active cases in Chengalpet were 2928. In various Covid health centres and in hospitals in TN till now as many as 810 beds were occupied. It included 288 oxygen supported beds, 435 non oxygen supported beds and 87 ICU beds etc.
